Adaptations/Home Repairs or Improvements

Where major adaptations or home improvements are required, we can assist any resident in Aberdeen. We can also act as your Technical Agent, to help with the planning, arranging and overseeing of the work.

This includes:

• Visiting you at home to assess or discuss the work required
• Refer you to an Occupational Therapist if the work required is for an adaptation to the property
• Providing the necessary drawings, plans and technical specifications for work required (if applicable)
• Provide information on local contractors who can complete the work
• Obtain quotations from contractors and discuss these with you in detail
• Liaise with contractors and third parties on your behalf
• Assisting with accessing any statutory funding that may be available, and provide advice on any charitable grants that may be available  (where appropriate)
• Carrying out a final inspection of the work
• Offering an affordable loan
