Small Repairs

Small repairs can be carried out by our own qualified handymen. Our small repairs service carries out work such as:

• Plumbing
• Joinery
• Electrical
• Supply & fit interlinked smoke alarms to meet current legislation
• Safety and security measures e.g. grab rails and key safes
• Small indoor and outdoor tasks

This service is available to those aged 60 or over and/or those registered disabled or living with a long-term health condition. We can carry out small repairs in Aberdeen City, Blackburn, Westhill, Portlethen and Newtonhill.

Current rates for this service are:

• Standard rate - £35 per hour + VAT and mileage charge.
• Reduced rate for those on qualifying benefits - £25 per hour + VAT and mileage charge.

Mileage Charges:

• Within 3 miles of our office - £3.00 + VAT = £3.60
• Over 3 miles from our office - £6.00 + VAT = £7.20
• Aberdeenshire areas - £8.00 + VAT = £9.60

Please check with staff to see which rate you will be charged. A small repair is generally carried out within a 4-hour period.

We can provide free verbal estimates. If you decide to proceed, an invoice will be sent to you after the work is complete and you will get 30 days to pay. You can pay by debit card over the phone, bank transfer or cheque. We do not accept cash payments.

If our own handymen are unable to carry out your repair, then we can assist you with getting quotes from our Trusted Traders instead.
